NANB Pays Tribute to Seven Outstanding New Brunswick RNs

FREDERICTON, June 8, 2011— The Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB), representing 8,900
registered nurses and nurse practitioners in the province, will host an Awards Gala Banquet this evening at the Delta Hotel Fredericton recognizing seven New Brunswick RNs who have demonstrated advocacy,
leadership, and exceptional contributions in advancing and maintaining standards of nursing.


This year’s recipients include: Nicole Fournier (Petit-Rocher), for Excellence in Clinical Practice; Ronald
Bonenfant (St.-Basile), Award of Merit: Nursing Practice; Nicole Dumont (Edmundston), Award of Merit:
Education; Lise Guerrette-Daigle (Dieppe), Award of Merit: Administration; Nicole Letourneau (New
Maryland), Award of Merit: Research; Réanne Allain (Beresford), Entry-Level Nurse Achievement Award;
and Phyllis Murray(Moncton), recipient of a Life Membership Award.


“The Awards Gala Banquet provides the Association an opportunity to honour just a few of New Brunswick’s finest RNs,” says Martha Vickers, President of NANB. “This celebratory event sets the stage for an evening of pride in a profession shared amongst colleagues, friends, and families alike.”


The Banquet begins at 19 00 in the Grand Ballroom at the Delta Hotel Fredericton
