Evidence of Language Proficiency
If you are not able to demonstrate language proficiency through your nursing program, registration status, or your results on a language proficiency test, then the following types of evidence may also be considered by NANB.
As well as the information provided in any form listed below, NANB may also require applicants to undergo an interview with a member of NANB’s staff, to assess applicants’ language proficiency.
Program at a College or University
If you have completed a nursing, or non-nursing program at a college or university within the last two years, in English or French, NANB will consider whether this education meets the language proficiency requirement. Work or Volunteer Experience
If you have nursing or non-nursing work or volunteer experience within the last two years in English or French, NANB will consider whether your experience meets the evidence of language proficiency requirements.
