TD Insurance Meloche Monnex offers two annual scholarships in the amount of $2,500.00 each, to be awarded through the University of New Brunswick and the Université de Moncton. These bursaries are offered as support for master’s education programs in New Brunswick. The bursaries are open to full or part time students, and are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and participation in activities that benefit the nursing profession. The New Brunswick Nurses Foundation (NBNF) was established in 1988 by the CNNB to raise funds to support nursing education. In 1996, these funds were transferred to the Canadian Nurses Foundation (CNF) and, in keeping with the wishes of the NBNF, an award was created for New Brunswick nurses who are pursuing studies at the master’s level and who demonstrate their ability to become future valuable contributors to the nursing profession in Canada. In 2008, to celebrate the Centennial of the Canadian Nurses Association, CNNB established a second scholarship to be awarded to a CNNB member pursuing Masters education and residing in New Brunswick.

CNNB celebrated 100 years of nursing regulation in 2016. To commemorate this celebration a third scholarship was established to support PhD studies for CNNB members. This award, the CNNB Centennial PhD Scholarship was matched by the Government of New Brunswick with the establishment of a second PhD scholarship, the New Brunswick PhD Nursing Scholarship. There are now four awards available to CNNB members from the CNF.

• CNNB CNA Centennial Scholarship (Masters Scholarship) - $5,000
• CNNB Masters Scholarship - $5,000
• CNNB/TD Meloche Monnex Centennial Doctoral scholarship - $10,000
• New Brunswick PhD nursing scholarship - $10,000

Any additional interest earned above the $30,000 outlined above will support annual Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) Certification funding for New Brunswick Nurses in the form of full reimbursement of certification for successful applicants.
