NANB Standards of Practice for Nurse Practitioners – Q&A Sessions

New! Standards of Practice for Nurse Practitioners (Effective July 1, 2024)

June 19, 20 & 25

The Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB) has revised the Standards of Practice for Nurse Practitioners and is pleased to inform you that the NANB Board of Directors has approved the revised standards. The standards of practice identify the level of professional practice expected of nurses in NB. They define safe, competent, compassionate, and ethical practice across all settings, and they serve as a benchmark against which actual performance can be measured. All NPs are responsible for understanding the standards of practice for NPs and applying them to their practice.  The revised standards of Practice for NPs will come into effect in July 1, 2024.

NANB is inviting NPs to participate in one of the upcoming virtual information sessions during which the revised standards will be presented, key changes to the NP standards will be reviewed, and NPs will have an opportunity to ask questions in relation to the application of the standards in their practice.

The session will be held via TEAMS on the following dates:
